Hawg Country Corvette Club Meeting Minutes For January 16, 2012

                                                                                                                           
At 7:00PM,  President Nancy Layton brought the meeting to order.
 
The minutes for the November 2011 meeting was approved by the club.
 
John Bakker read the treasurer's report. The treasurer's report was approved by the club.
 

 

 

Old business:

The club thanked John Bakker for his work in setting up our 2011 Christmas party.

A discussion was held concerning making a donation to local charities of the proceeds from our 2011 car show. This will be voted on during our next meeting in February.

The club thanked Dennis Burton for his donation of a gift box of his famous homemade wines. The club was able to raise $102.00 as the result of the raffle for this gift and the wine holder. 

 

New business:

 

 

There will be a multi-club cruise along with our club, the NWA Corvette club and the 4-States Corvette club from Joplin on Saturday, January 28th. to Stella, MO for the annual Eagle watch. The meeting place and times will be announced.

There was a suggestion for the club to host a barbeque  this spring or summer. This event will be discussed during our February meeting.


Car shows/events:

 
The O'Reilly Autofest will be an indoor show to be held in Springfield, MO at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds on February 4th. & 5th.

The 48th. annual Darryl Starbird National Rod & Custom Car show will be held in Tulsa, OK at the Quik Trip Center Fairgrounds on February 17th., 18th. & 19th.

The Park City Chill show will be at the Kansas Pavilion at Park City, KS on February 24th., 25th., & 26th.

The 2012 Hot Rod Power Tour will be close to our area this year with stops in Miami, OK on June 6th. and also Stillwater, OK on June 7th. If you have never participated or witnessed this event now is the time to see 1000's of great cars.

 

Birthdays & anniversaries: 

We have several members celebrating their birthdays in January. There are: Larry Daniels, Jackie Cempura, and Debbie Blaylock. There are no anniversaries being celebrated in January.

New Members or new cars:

We had no new members or guests this month. However, Theron & Mary Ford are the proud new owners of a GranSport Convertible. CONGRATS!!
