A vote was taken to see which charities we will donate the proceeds to from our 2010 2nd. Annual Car Show to be held at Fletcher Chevrolet on September 11, 2010. The 3 charities nominated were: Hillcrest Towers, The National Veterans Cemetery & The Veterans Health Care. A motion was made to select two of these three organizations to donate to and a vote was made. The two charities selected by vote are Hillcrest Towers and The Veterans Health Care.

Susan Chase was recognized for her efforts and commitment in helping the residents of Hillcrest Towers. Hillcrest Towers can always use our help and if you want to assist contact Richard or Joanna Peak if you can help in these areas.

Reports were given on cruises that were made during July.

 NEW BUSINESS

Jim Thornton gave us an update on our 2nd. Annual Hawg Country Corvette show that is scheduled for September 11, 2010. Awards are ready and a sample was passed around for all to see. They are very attractive and would look great on any Corvetter's wall. (SEE ADDITIONAL CAR SHOW INFO ON OUR EVENTS PAGE)
We need to be giving some thought to the cookout that we will have at Eureka Springs and be ready to discuss it during our next meeting in August.

If you are interested in purchasing either a Car show Tee shirt or one of our regular club shirts contact Jim Thornton for information. Car show shirts will be available for $13.00 each.

Officer Charles Tomlin from the Bella Vista police department was also present and provided us information on their efforts to raise funds to support the Bella Vista Shop With A Cop program. The Bella Vista police department will be holding a car show next year, 2011. More details will be available on this effort in the future.

There will be a woman's cruise to Branson on September 18th. For more information contact Jackie Cempura.

There are also two other local car shows that will be held during September. One during the Cave Springs Centennial Celebration on September 25th. and also a show that will be held at NWACC on September 28th.
